Trick or Treat

Sunday, November 8, 2015

My kids love parties. Wherever it may be, no matter what the occasion. So my brother invited them for a trick or treat at SM Lanang. Naturally this got my kids all excited. R dressed up as flower garden fairy, K as a blue fairy and M as spiderman. Well naturally we had to follow them around the mall. Tiring but the kids had so much fun.

R and M

That's Gerevi dressed as Mary Poppin and my brother, Inting, as Skywalker.

Coloring time. I think the ates have as much fun as the 2 kids.

Our Dahilayan Adventure

Saturday, November 7, 2015

We (Me and my coworkers) only get to go out very very seldom. But when we do, we try to make the most out of it. We have too much work to do inside the office with so many problems to deal with. So we try to have fun the best way we know how.

Before lunch.

We had so much fun with this ride. We kept laughing and shouting. Good times.

Of course I had to bring my family who have been very supportive with my work. Let me say that they wanted to ride again and again. The kids had so much fun as well.

Dried Rose Petals

Friday, November 6, 2015

I got this idea the night before my father's birthday. I ordered for 2 dozens of flowers to put in the altar. Gerevi, my brother's girlfriend, suggested to take off the first leaf so that the roses will bloom longer. I had the idea not to throw the petals but instead to let it dry and see what happens.

Voila! I ended up with scented dried petals. I kept it in one of my ink jars. Every time I open the jar, I have a sweet-smelling petals.

Watercolor Session with R

R and I have the same passion for drawing, painting, anything of arts and crafts. So naturally, who better to do this than with R.

Clay

Wednesday, November 4, 2015

What do kids do when they have a whole day to play besides swimming in the pool? This! Playing Play-Doh. Good thing they didn't fight over 1 bottle of the clay.

Playing peacefully with 1 box of clay.

This is K's version of a watch.

M wants to imprint Godzilla's foot

K's version of our family. The stick is a pillow and the flat one is a blanket.

R's version of me and hubby.

R's version of she and her siblings.

R's version of our family

This is R's other version of our family.

Reading in Progress

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

This is a session which K and I attended, Reading in Progress. This is for kids specifically. Parents were there to take note on how to better teach their kids at home. I asked K afterwards if she learned something, she said she did and that she had a great time. Well, learning something and also having fun, that's double mommy points for me ;) (wink wink)

This is my friend Lizette who also taught English. I knew her since last year when I spent a whole day during my kids' first school day, and Lizette and I kept talking. She also teaches foreigners and she's a blogger as well.

Mental Math

Monday, November 2, 2015

A few weeks back, R and I attended a workshop for kindergarten and Grades 1 and 2. Well, let's just say it's not only for the kids but actually intended for adults to help their kids. As the teachers said, some kids find it hard to solve math problems using the conventional ways, so what he taught were the unconventional ways that some kids might find very helpful. For me, it wasn't easy but very very helpful if you master how it's done.

There was another workshop which K and I attended which I will show in another post.

He is the teacher. So sorry I forgot his name.

Ate also had a good time. When I asked her after the session if she learned a lot, she said she did.
