Marion Cotilard

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

I'm so obsessing about Marion Cotillard right now. I have seen her in Nine and The Dark Knight Rises and I am so impress with her beauty and talent. I need not tell you more about here, you can easily google her.

I like her and that's that :)

I'm so glad it's finally here in Davao. I opted to get the one with the jasmine scent. It's lightly scented just like I wanted. What scent did you get?

Product Review: Human Nature Baby Lotion

Saturday, July 21, 2012

We were very hesitant to buy this at first. For one, the scent was very strong for us initially and second we were afraid to try it as it may just have the same consistency and texture as the other brands in the market. But we were convinced by one of the owners of the store as she herself was using this. So hubby and I opted to buy the smallest bottle. Would you believe that we have been using it on our kids for more than a month now?!

The scent is fresh when applied to the skin. It has a powdery scent. It didn't irritate their skin. Plus a small amount goes a long way. We like to apply it when the kids just got out from the bath. The price isn't bad too.

When trying out new products for your kids, always try it on your skin first.

Kudos to 911!

Finally got home from the hospital. We had to send my grandfather to the hospital. He had an accident and has been in bed for almost a week now. We had been trying to convince him to get medical work-up but he was hesistant. Finally today he agreed. And since we don't want to move him without the proper equipment, we had to call 911. At 3 attempts, I got a busy tone. On the 4th attempt, I finally got through. It was a smooth talk and they arrived in less than 30 minutes which was a far cry from what I have been hearing about them. This was the first time we asked for their assistance and I'm glad we did.

So thank you to the people in 911. More power to you!

I've been obsessing about printables for as long as I can remember. It's a good way to pay less plus you can choose which one to print. What I like most are those that I can write on. Let me show you some of the printables I found on the net.

Bookmark Foxes from Lemon Squeezy

The Alphabet Poster from Sprik Space

Vintage Labels from Cathy Holden of Just Something I Made

Holiday Tags in 3 choices from Creature Comforts

For more printables, you can visit Everything Etsy. They have a link-up of different sites that offer freebies and downloads. Enjoy!

Remembering Them

Thursday, July 12, 2012

I just finished reading Tuesdays with Morrie. Made me sentimental that I miss a few loved ones. I keep remembering them as if they were never really gone.

My grandfather whom I was fond of. The only time we got really close was when he was having dialysis and I was more aware of his sickness. This was during my internship. I would visit him in the hospital where he was having his dialysis. My husband, who was my boyfriend then, was also there to keep him company while I stayed outside waiting for him to finish.

My uncle who has never failed to make a joke everytime he sees me. I remember he keeps his plate clean during meals, making sure not a piece of rice is left uneaten. In a way, he was obsessive compulsive. When he came to see me at the hospital where I was working, I saw him staring far away as if planning what to do next. He was peaceful. We confirmed he was sick. He told me to keep it. I go back and forth thinking if it was the right thing. But that was his wishes.

People that mattered to me. I would have wanted them here now but looking back on what Morrie had said, "We all die". It's not the first book that told me to cherish each moment with the people around us. Almost everyone said to cherish and love and respect each other. And I sincerely believe in it. Makes life easier now just by remembering these things.

Book Review: Fifty Shades Series

Thursday, July 5, 2012

Has it been a week since my last post? I was so engrossed by these books that I wanted to finish all of them. I was so curious why i keep seeing these in people's photos especially in Instagram. So I bought the ebooks. Yeah just the ebooks. Made the right choice.

So what's the book about eh? It's about a guy named Christian Grey who was adopted by his parents after a dreadful childhood. His mother was a whore, a stepfather for an abuser and he witnessed his mother dead for 4 days before the police found him. How's that? It also tells you about his life as a teenager, how he likes rough sex to overcome his depression and became the richest bachelor. You would want to know how his life changed after meeting Anastasia Steele. This books is full of drama, action and suspense that will surely touch all of your senses. Just when you think it's gonna get boring, there's a twist in every corner. I hope that would make you get off your butt and buy the book na!

It's a 3 part series. One thrilling as the next. Makes you not want to put your book or ipad, for that matter, down.

Now I don't wanna give anymore or I might spill it all out. Believe me, it's worth every penny.
