Of Pearls and Stones

Thursday, October 25, 2012

A few months back I attended a bead crafting seminar. But after that, I didn't really do much. I was caught up with work, I didn't have time to do any accessories. Although I bought a few stones and a few other items, I never really got to make one.

A few days ago, I decided to give it a try. I was able to make a couple of pieces. They may not be all that glamorous, but it went well.

My very own single strand pearl neckace

My kids insisted I make them some bracelets.

Museo Malitano

Tuesday, October 23, 2012

This used to be the old municipal hall. I had the chance to visit the place when I was young. The place was renovated in 2009. This has became a museum since then. It shelters some of the antiquities donated from different families.

This was my grandfather.

These are some of the items showcased in the museum. There are costumes from different tribes, antique jewelry, dishes and many more stuff.

Come visit the museum on your free time. you might learn a thing or two about your ancestors.

Tayo

Saturday, October 13, 2012

Are you familiar with TAYO? The little blue bus? It's shown on playhouse disney. They have a very catchy tune and my kids love watching it.

I was browsing through apple apps when I saw this TAYO game. As soon as R saw the photo, she wanted to play with it immediately. Before the game starts, they have this mini video which is shown everytime you start the game. And how we love the song. The game is a bit confusing. You have to start with the practice session before doing the game. It's fun and it's not only for preschool but also for toddlers. It's a fun way to bond wih your kids.
