It's her 5th birthday today. She came into the room and reminded me. "Mom it's my birthday today!"

I said, "I know."  "Can I open my gift now?" And I told her to wait for me as I was still in the bathroom. She was wondering why her gift didn't have any names on it.

To my dear sweet child, 5 years have gone by. I love you, daddy loves you, everyone loves you. I pray you'd grow up to be a good girl who loves God and your family. Happy Birthday nak!

Basic Calligraphy Workshop

This is a long overdue post. 

I was so delighted to be part of a half-day calligraphy workshop done by Labellascrittura.  It was such a relief to have someone you can look up to and listen to their experiences. Plus having to meet so many ladies who happen to love what I love. Talking to them is such a breather. 

The best thing you can do to prepare your nib is to just wet it with your saliva. 

I have never seen anything so beautiful. My name written with so much flourish. 

So happy to have met all of them. 

Oh and I brought this home as a gift. Thank you so much labellascrittura for the knowledge and skills you have imparted.
