It's funny how easily K follows what elders or even teachers say. Since I transferred my kids here in the province, they've been going to UCCP. Now I'm not well verse when it comes to religious matters. Mind you, i almost flank my theo class. But I know how to say my prayers with the help of close friends and my husband.
I attended the first class of my kids. One is in play school, another in nursery. I know that they start each class with a prayer and then the National Anthem before proceeding to the lesson plan. And after each prayer, as we always say, ended with "Amen and Amen". But as my daughter K would have it, she ends with saying amen, amen continuosly. Coupled with both hands raising towards the sky. Almost all the time she says it. Even at home.

I could not fathom how Sendong made his way thru Cagayan de Oro and nearby places. Looking at the pictures from blogs, facebook photos and newspapers, I could barely look straight at it, let alone read about how many people, especially children, have died.

What I want for Chrstmas
I've been asked several times what I wanted for Christmas and most of the time my mind goes blank. Sure I want a lot of things, material things, things that I know, somehow soon I can buy. So let me just give you some of the things I want for Christmas:
1. a new shawl
2. new shoes. I love flats. I can't seem to get over them.
3. more black leggings
4. iphone5
5. a scanner to go with my laptop and printer
6. zatchels
7. a new car
8. my own home to decorate and clean and everything that goes with it
9. a DSLR camera
10. an oven so I can practice baking
But most of all, I want Lasik surgery. There's nothing more important for me than be able to see clearly without my glasses. I would like to play with my kids and not mind the sweat to goes down my face. I would like to swim with my kids in the pool and see their smiles clearly. I wonder how much it would cost these days.

Last November 26, 2011, a Saturday, the Barangay Kagawad of Malita held a blood donation in partnership with the Davao Blood Center. This was done at the Poblacion's barangay hall.
We had approxiamtely 45 blood donors. A few were not allowed to donate due to hypertension, low hemoglobin and a few others were late.
This is done quarterly at different locations here in Malita. Here are shots of what happened during that day.

I am hoping that one day, I may be able to donate. I've been wanting to since I was in college but I did not pass the hemoglobin test:(
