We Had Fun!
Monday, April 30, 2012
Me and R spent time at NBS while everyone else was roaming around the mall. R dragged me towards the kids' section looking for batman. But I didn't want that for her so instead, I chose to read her Rainbow Fish.

While some of us were riding the zipline, my parents and the rest of the family were dining at the mountain lodge. I don't have photos of their food. By the time I was going to eat, I just had bits and pieces of what everyone had. Toinks.
Nevertheless, the place was packed that day and the kids had so much fun.

The next day everyone was up early. Off for an adventure. We passed by Camp Phillips, thru the pineapple farm going up towards Dahilayan. The place was packed. Kids and adults were all excited to ride the zipline. I was never a big fan of heights. So imagine how scared I was when they convinced me to try it. I think my mom convinced me to try it. How else would I convince my readers if I hadn't tried it said she!
I just shouted on the top of my lungs. I was so scared that tears fell from my eyes. Lol. Next was another zipline. They said it's the longest in Asia. Plus you have to ride it like a superman!

Listening to the final instructions. Look how scared I was. |

My brother B was my buddy. |
Everything happened so fast that near pit stop my glasses fell off. Good thing I immediately saw where it landed. |
Got my own proof. |
They also had a zipline for the kids but we didn't let them ride it. I wasn't sure how safe it was. But as an added bonus, they had a play ground on the lower side of the park. My kids loved playing there. The breeze was cool and it was a new place to explore.

The whole point of going to CDO was to visit the Archdiocese of the Divine Mercy. We got there around 9am. We were planning to get there earlier but everyone was tired from the trip the day before. We took a stroll around the church. We were hoping to climb the 80 steps towards the peak of the altar but the gate was closed. So we just took pictures around the area.
A view from the top. |
Pants were not allowed for women. So I just wrapped my shawl to look like a skirt. I saw women taking their skirts or shawls off when they got in but I wanted to respect the area so I left it as is.

Yap. Checked it this morning and noticed a small lump. Then when i touched his gingiva, it was sharp. Woohoo...
He's irritable and has runny nose, doesn't wanna be put down to bed.
Though I'd be missing those cute gums, this is another milestone not to be missed.

The parking area |
Everyone was relieved we finally arrived at CDO. |
It wasn't a 5-star apartelle. By the time we arrived, we had to clean out everything, literally everything. The cabinets for the kitchen utensils were covered in black dust even on the inside. We had to wash everything. Good thing we were able to bring some rugs and powdered soap. Some of the rooms and the corners were also dirty.

As I have said, the area wasn't a totally "wow". But the service was great. The crew were friendly.

We stopped by for some Buffalo Milk. They had white and brown milk. At least that's all I saw the gang were carrying. I didn't went down to the store.
Their office at Bukidnon. |
Loving it. |
The chocolate milk tasted like Milo in a way. Didn't let the kids drink all of it as mom claimed it may cause diarrhea. So far the only one who got that was hubby. The kids didn't feel anything.
What I wore today!

Cloth Diapering is Healthy. It means no diaper rash and less likely chance of urinary tract infections. I have been cloth diapering my kids for more than a year now, starting with my eldest when she was younger. She's turning 4 in May. Plus, it's not financially draining.

Bad Luck?
Today wasn't really all that bad except for the instances where I broke a glass and 2nd, me and R broke a plate. Not that we were asked to pay for it because they didn't, but the fact that we broke something...twice, made everything seem bad.
We were planning to go home to the province today but with my luck today, it's best to postpone it. How about you, how was your day? Any such occurrences?

The Travel - Holy Week 2012
I was hesitant to leave the comforts of our home to go on a 5-6-hour trip towards CDO to visit the Archdiocese of the Divine Mercy. With 3 kids in tow, I have so much to pack. But considering I was going to the church and it was hubby's fist time to go on vacation after his residency training, plus the whole family is with me, I just couldn't let it miss. I packed about 3-4 bags excluding mine plus the plastic containers for the baby bottles, the sterilizer, and all the other stuffs that the kids would be needing.
If you've been on a trip with your kids, you know it's not an easy task. There's a lot of things to consider including which bag goes with which yaya, where to put it for easy access and what type of bag to bring. And since it was a spontaneous decision, I spent about 4-5 hours packing.
